Last Stand: Death Valley · mm4fstudio

Privacy policy

Effective and last updated:

You do not need an account to play. Game progress and settings are stored on your device, not on a game server operated by us. However, advertising and diagnostic services can process technical information. “No account” does not mean “no data processing.”

1. Who we are

mm4fstudio develops Last Stand: Death Valley, previously called Last Stand or Valley Defense Slice in development builds. This policy covers the game and this support website. mm4fstudio is responsible for the processing it determines for the game. Contact us at mm4fstudio@gmail.com.

We do not operate a player-account system, our own game backend, cloud saves or an online leaderboard. The game does not ask you to provide a name, email address or password to play.

2. Information stored on your device

The game saves settings such as sound, controls and graphics quality, and a checkpoint for resuming an unfinished game. Saved information includes waves, scores, kills, credits, upgrades and the status of your base and towers. It also records earned advertising rewards and locally generated run and reward identifiers to prevent duplicate rewards.

These game records are not uploaded to a server operated by mm4fstudio. Your operating system may include app data in device backups, depending on your settings. Development builds may also create local logs and diagnostic reports.

3. Optional rewarded advertising

The game integrates Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). When rewarded ads are available, you can choose to watch one for a clearly described in-game reward. Core gameplay does not require watching ads.

Advertising is offered only after you confirm that you are at least 16. We store only this choice on your device, not your date of birth. For eligible players, the game contacts Google's consent service at launch and before preparing ads as needed. Where a consent message is required, it is handled before ad initialization. The ad SDK is initialized only when you choose to prepare an optional ad. If an ad cannot be requested under the current consent status, it is not loaded.

On iOS, the game can ask for App Tracking Transparency permission before loading an ad. You can refuse tracking and continue playing; available non-personalized ads can still provide the stated reward. The game disables Google's publisher first-party identifier and requests non-personalized ads when tracking permission is unavailable. This does not remove all technical data processing by advertising services.

Google's services may process your IP address (including approximate location inferred from it), device and app identifiers, advertising identifiers where permitted, ad views and interactions, and crash or performance information. These are used for advertising delivery and measurement, service reliability and fraud prevention. Advertising partners involved in an ad may also process information under their own policies and applicable privacy choices.

See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

4. Unity engine diagnostics

The game is built with Unity. Engine diagnostics are enabled in the current project configuration. This service may send installation-specific identifiers and technical crash, error and device information to Unity to help investigate stability problems. It is separate from advertising and is not controlled by the AdMob consent form.

We have not enabled a separate Unity Analytics gameplay-event service. Read Unity's Game Player and App User Privacy Policy for information about Unity's processing. You can contact us about diagnostic data associated with your installation.

5. Advertising and device privacy choices

When Google requires a privacy-options entry point, the game provides AD PRIVACY in settings to revisit available choices. You can also manage advertising and tracking permissions in your device settings. Available choices depend on your region and platform.

PRIVACY POLICY is always available in settings. In AD OPTIONS, choose PLAY WITHOUT ADS to stop future ad requests. This keeps your local progress and already earned rewards; it does not erase data already processed by providers or replace their consent controls.

A reward is for completing an eligible ad, not for agreeing to personalized advertising. Declining personalization does not prevent ordinary gameplay. Non-personalized or limited ads can still involve technical data processing; they do not necessarily mean that no data is collected. Withdrawing consent does not change the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.

6. Contacting us and visiting this website

If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you choose to attach. We use this information to handle your request. Our mailbox is hosted by Google Gmail. Please send only information necessary for support.

This static website does not add analytics, advertising scripts or tracking cookies. It is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub processes visitor information, including IP addresses, for hosting and security; see the GitHub Privacy Statement. External links lead to services with their own policies.

7. Purposes, retention and transfers

We use information to provide the game, preserve local progress and rewards, respond to support requests and investigate reliability issues. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, these activities rely on providing the service you request or legitimate interests in support and stability; processing that requires consent must rely on that consent. Advertising providers' processing also depends on applicable law and your choices.

Local game data remains until it is replaced or removed. Uninstalling the app normally removes its local data, but backups may retain or restore it. This does not delete information already held by service providers. We retain support correspondence only as needed to address requests and meet applicable legal obligations.

Google, Unity and GitHub apply their own retention arrangements. Service providers may process information outside your country under the transfer safeguards described in their privacy policies. We do not maintain a database of player accounts or sell local game-save records.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict or object to processing, obtain a portable copy, withdraw consent, or complain to your data protection authority.

Contact mm4fstudio@gmail.com to make a request. We may need proportionate information to verify it. We cannot retrieve game progress that exists only on your device. We will help with requests for processing for which we are responsible, including Unity diagnostics; requests concerning a provider's independent processing may need to be addressed to that provider.

9. Children and younger players

The game is intended for teenagers and adults, not children under 13. Local age and parental-consent requirements may be higher. A store age rating does not itself establish that a player can consent to data processing. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Players younger than 16, and players who do not confirm that they are at least 16, can play without advertising. This advertising choice is not an identity check and does not override the game's App Store age rating.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the game or its services change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Material changes requiring additional notice or consent will be handled as required by applicable law.
